Is it lunch, or a scene from 'Stand by Me"?
Wingman Tom saw a dead body over lunch. No f-ing lie.
Back story:
Last week we had what folks in my sister's neck of the woods (southern Illinois) call a "screamin' deluge." About 4 inches of rain fell overnight and many parts of Sioux Falls were flooded.
Two young guys decided to go canoeing in the river - or white water rafting, as the case may be. Their canoe overturned, one made it to shore, the other they couldn't find. Until today, whist my wingman was enjoying his ham-and-cheese panini at the Overlook Cafe in Falls Park. (Where, dear reader, the city of Sioux Falls got its name.)
They pulled the poor guy out of the river right there. Very sad. But very interesting story for Tom. In truth, I'm a little jealous.
I went to Panera and ate a veggie sandwich for lunch. That was so fun. But not blog-worthy. Oh wait, I guess I just made it blog-worthy. Sorry.
Anybody else notice the similarity to the name of the cafe Tom was sitting in, and the name of the hotel in Stephen King's book, "The Shining"? C.R.E.E.P.Y.
And since Stephen King also wrote "Stand By Me" - the short story, not sure about the screenplay, the dead body on the train tracks thing sort of applies. (I figured I better tie up the headline with the body copy. I'm a pro that way.)

I saw a burning mini-van on I-394 yesterday. There could have been someone dead inside..?
I MISS ALL THE FUN! =P
Where is I-394?
Is that by Mini Tonka? (Tom's joke)
