this should last for more than a few weeks

Kristie gave me the coolest Christmas gift today ... the motherload of Jolly Ranchers. I eat them like popcorn. (Seriously. I have issues. If it's not coffee, it's those darn little things.) I've never had a cavity in my life ... but not for lack of trying.

The jar holds 5 big bags. I'll post periodic shots of it on the blog so you can see the levels. It will be quite the insight into my psyche. For now: generic Ranchers.

So of course, all this got me thinking...

It's so great to have such wonderful friends. Especially ones like Kristie, who pretty much know me inside and out. Even got to see my buddy Eric from MPLS - surprise visit today. (He sent an email to the whole office, pretending to be me, saying I only take a shower once ever few weeks, but that's cool, I'm a willing victim anytime he wants to show up again.)

I'm pretty lucky, for all the complaining I do. Here are a few other things that have me counting my blessings:

IMAGE 2: This picture of the most adorable 2-year old on the planet, my niece, arrived in my inbox today. Made my whole week!

IMAGE 3: My awesome kids. Took the morning off to hang with them, then Tim came home for the rest of the afternoon. (Still getting the hang of daycare attached to school, and school having holidays, etc., etc.) We had a blast. NOTE TO SMITHER: Can we talk about paying me full time and only working me half time? I could totally get down with only working afternoons. Darn, I would be SUCH A GOOD RICH PERSON.

We made chocolate chip banana bread at 11am and it's gone now. For the record, I only had 2 pieces. The rest is on them.

IMAGE 4: My awesome husband. He rocks, he rocks, he rocks, he rocks. (And no, not just 'cause he upgraded my diamond for our anniversary, although that helped his cause.) But he did fix the treadmill - so now I won't be fat anymore - been running 3 times this week already. (That office Puerto Vallarta trip in January is closing in fast.)

Hope everyone is having as great a day as I am.

Now if only you'd pop in the shower like you pop those Jolly Ranchers... =P

Merry Christmas!
