Cnn calls vermont for obama and kentucky for mcsame - wolf blitzer seems a bit crazed - wonder how much red bull is on the cnn craft services table?

Side note - the walmart toy catalog is reaching 75 percent of the eyeballs in my house at the moment.

Cnn has correspondents via hologram! Holy princess leah, batman!
# Posted By katie | 11/4/08 6:37 PM
Yeah PA!!!!

I am driving the entire family crazy by channel-flipping.

Striking dif btwn Obama supporters in Grant Park and McCain camp in Phoenix. I think they just had a boys choir on.

Clearly CNN and MSNBC have gone over the edge on the technology. Why beam people in, BECAUSE THEY CAN.

Obama takes OHIO.

CNN goes to Hank Williams at McCain's part. Why? What's next? Fancy pageant walkin?'
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 8:25 PM
South Dakota re-elects Tim Johnson. Way to go. Now turn blue and I'll be seriously impressed.
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 8:28 PM
ABC's relentless shots of the liberal elite in Times Square doesn't seem to be doing them any favors?

What do you think of NBC's fancy graphics? Not hologram cool.

I just asked Tim for a Diet Coke and he says ... "Geez! You're like a man in the 1970s."

That was funny.

I can laugh at that.

Little E says "Why are so many people Obamaholics or McCainiacs?"

That is even funnier.

Texas goes down.

I see on Facebook my buddy Mike in Duluth has a bit of a crush on Katie Couric tonight.
# Posted By katie | 11/4/08 8:41 PM
McCain's gathering in AZ is no longer listening to results, they are focused on Hank Williams.
# Posted By kmoss | 11/4/08 8:43 PM
At least the boys choir has left the stage. Those poor kids.

People are gathering all over the world to celebrate the end of the Bush era! Check this out:

The analysts on CNN are sitting unnaturally close together. Does anyone else feel uncomfortable for them? I mean, Bill Bennett, if he turns quickly, he takes out half the crew. Spent all their money on fancy graphics, no cash for a larger table.

Iowa goes blue! wooooo hoooooo
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 9:02 PM
CNN panelists all basically said "It's over now - now it's just how big a margin Obama wins by"

BOOYAH!

Oh and anybody see Keloland's hi-tec voting results? -- they cut to a webpage with tiny little bar graphs!
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 9:15 PM
and i'm totally flipping too - But how bad does it suck that KDLT is too cheap to give us the HD feed? -- Brokaw in standard def just aint as pretty!
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 9:16 PM
I can't believe Brokaw in HD is a real pretty picture either.
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 9:29 PM
Dude, the holograms are just way over the top. I'm a little frightened by it.
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 9:48 PM
Maybe I'm getting old - but CNN has the only ticker I can actually read without squinting.

Mollie! I need new glasses!

Oh lord. Now Will.I.Am is on hologram. I think CNN just jumped the shark.
# Posted By katie | 11/4/08 9:48 PM
Obama's cleaning up in Colorado! I was born there so let's say it's my home state. But Iowa rocks, too! And totally miss Minnesota.

If they elect Al Franken is that worse than Jesse Ventura?

Was just thinking how sad it was Obama's grandmother passed away yesterday. What a historic night. Wish I was in Grant Park tonight.

Just read this ...

"Lincoln's reelection meant the union was worth fighting for. Franklin Roosevelt's was a rejection of Hoover's conservatism. Kennedy marked a new era in politics. Reagan marked the ascendancy of the conservative movement."

Here's the rest!

VIRGINIA! Obama projected to win.
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 10:00 PM
CNN Calls it officially once the west coast polls close!

I have goosebumps.
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 10:10 PM
Did you guys see how CNN just let the cameras show the reaction for like 5 min? That. was. awesome.

A new day has dawned. As U2 would say "It's a beautiful day!" -- or maybe more appropriately Aretha Franklin: "A change is gonna come!"
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 10:13 PM
Also - My entire family lives in CO and with the exception of my rich sister - they all voted Blue! And my sister was notoriously disinterested in politics growing up so i'm counting on her NOT voting :)
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 10:15 PM
McCain gives a classy concession speech. Yahoos in the crowds booing the president-elect. All class. Why didn't McCain give those kinds of speeches during the campaign?
# Posted By Bill Zahren | 11/4/08 10:36 PM
Bill I was thinking the same thing. THAT was the McCain back in January I told Katie i'd be ok voting for. It's amazing how bad the GOP handlers and advisers ruined a good mans campaign.
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 10:47 PM
I liked McCain's speech, too. That's why I used to like him. He sounded like the old McCain.

Obama's speech was AMAZING.

But what was up with that music? Ugh.

Okay. Here we go. Springsteen. Way better!

Daschle for chief of staff?

They open their transition office tomorrow at noon!
# Posted By katie | 11/4/08 11:30 PM
Help us Blitzer-Kenobi!

You're our only election-night hope!

(I wish I wrote that.)

Your website ate my comments! Whats up with that?? - Somebody talk to your damn webmaster!!

Obamas speech... wow... just.... wow.
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 11:49 PM
Do you think if Daschle was named to be chief of staff we could use our connections to meet the big O someday???

Oh come on... YOU WERE THINKING IT!
# Posted By wingman | 11/4/08 11:50 PM
I don't have any fancy connections, but can I get in on some of that action? I wanna meet him too! =)
# Posted By Eric Ranschau | 11/5/08 8:43 AM
I am always thinking of ways to use Bryan's connections for my own ends.

Duh!

The Onion reports:

"The Nation Is Finally Shitty Enough to Elect Real Change."

# Posted By katie | 11/5/08 9:16 AM
I love the Onion. I have a friend who was in the crowd outside the White House last night. She said they chanted "Pack your shit!" That's so awesome it almost makes me cry. Help us Blitzer-Kenobi is HYS-terical. CNN graphics people with unlimited access to Red Bull is what that's all about.
